Mimi Ferrie is a native of Fort Collins, CO. She has been performing, teaching and choreographing in Colorado for over a decade. Mimi graduated with her BFA in Dance from the University of Colorado in 2007. She has performed with several local dance companies including Impact Dance, High Performance Dance Theatre, Interweave Dance, and Louder Than Words Dance Theatre. In addition to teaching throughout Colorado, Mimi is a manager and pointe shoe specialist at Boulder Body Wear. In 2009 Mimi co-founded Peekaboo Sole Productions, a performing arts organization committed to providing artistic exchange and performance opportunities for students and artists in the Boulder/Denver area.
Rachael Harding grew up in Northern California although she has been teaching, choreographing and dancing in Colorado for over 10 years. She holds a BS in Business Management and BFA in Dance from the University of Arizona and an MFA in Dance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. For five years, Mrs. Harding was a member of the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble in Denver. In her final season with the company she also served as Assistant Rehearsal Director. Rachael spent time traveling and living in Europe as a freelance artist while also touring throughout the States as a solo dancer with winds quintet, Imani Winds,in “Josephine Baker: A Life of Le Jazz Hot.” She has worked with Colorado-based companies; Davis Contemporary, Interweave Dance Theatre, Kim Robards, Moraporvida and both danced and choreographed for Opera Colorado. Mrs. Harding has worked with renowned choreographers such as Donald McKayle, Eleo Pomare, David Rousseve, Sean Curran, Nancy Cranbourne and Christopher Huggins. She is currently the artistic director for Denver Dance Starz studio and is so inspired by her fellow dancers in New Breed.
Page Jenkins graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a Bachelor of the Arts in Dance. She is currently dancing for 3rd Law Dance/Theater, Louder Than Words Dancetheatre and New Breed Dance Company. Page teaches for Colorado Ballet, the Denver School of the Arts, and is also the Assistant Artistic Director of Colorado Youth Dance Theatre. She is excited to be a part of New Breed and to work with such incredible people and artists.
Kelsey Kempfer is a Boulder Native who received Bachelor Degrees in Dance and Sociology from the University of Colorado. She started dancing at the age of three, and trained with the City of Boulder’s Expressions Dance Company and Grace Studios School of Dance. Over the years she has danced in works by Nancy Cranbourne, Linzee Klinkenberg, Helander Dance Theater, David Dorfman, Peekaboo Sole Productions, Susan Marshall, Rennie Harris, Art Bridgman and Myrna Packer, Onye Ozuzu, Erika Randall, Gabriel Masson, and Larry Southall. While at CU, Kelsey performed in the gala concerts for the American College Dance Festivals in Montana and Utah. She was awarded the Jamie Kellam Redmond Scholarship and the Talent and Creativity University Dance Award, along with being a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and the National Scholar Honor’s Society. Kelsey has extensive performance, competition, and choreographic experience and has been trained in the styles of Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet, and West African Dance. She has also taught dance at Grace Studios School of Dance for the past ten years. When she is not dancing, Kelsey works as a Long Term Care Manager at Adult Care Management.
Mason Lawrence Taylor
Mason Lawrence Taylor hails from Colorado and began his dance training at the age of sixteen with Alicia Karczewski, Debbie Mercer, and Robyn Stewart. He continued his study of dance at Chapman University and transitioned in to his dance career with BackhausDance and the Sean Greene Dance Company. Since returning to Colorado, Mr. Taylor has danced with 3rd Law Dance/Theater, Hannah Kahn Dance Company, Frequent Flyers Productions, and Ascential Dance. This is Mason’s first season with New Breed and he is honored to be working with his fellow artists in this company.
Stephanie McGill is a native of Colorado and received her training from the Academy of Colorado Ballet and Dance Arts Studio. She attended Denver School of the Arts with a major in Dance and went on to earn a B.F.A. in Dance, graduating with honors from the University of Arizona. Stephanie has also studied at Milwaukee Ballet, Ballet West Conservatory, The Joffrey Ballet and Columbia City Ballet. Stephanie has danced with the Boulder Ballet, David Taylor Dance Theatre, Interweave Dance Theatre, and is currently a member of 7Dancers. She is very honored and excited to be joining New Breed this season. Stephanie is also an accomplished teacher of ballet, tap, modern, hip-hop, and jazz at Dance Arts Studio, and is a certified Pilates instructor at Pilates Movement for Life, in Arvada.
